Data We Collect

Comments

When you leave a comment, we collect the information you enter, plus your IP address and browser user agent to help us detect spam. We may also share an anonymised hash of your email with the Gravatar service (see Gravatar’s privacy policy). Once your comment is approved, your profile picture may be publicly visible in the comment section.

Email & SMS Communications

With your consent, we may contact you via email or SMS regarding your order, including reminders about abandoned carts and shipping/tracking details. If you subscribe to our newsletter, we’ll send promotional content until you opt out. You can withdraw your consent at any time, though we will still communicate essential order updates.

Media Uploads

If you upload images (e.g. through comments or product reviews), please remove any embedded location (EXIF GPS) data—others may download and extract this data.

Cookies

• When you comment, we offer to save your name, email, and website in cookies for one year for convenience.
• A temporary cookie is used to verify if cookies are accepted when you visit the login page. It contains no personal data and is deleted when you close your browser.
• When you log in, cookies maintain your session for up to two days. If you choose “Remember Me,” your session will persist for two weeks. Screen preference cookies last for one year.
• If you log out, login cookies are removed.
• When editing or publishing posts, a cookie noting the post ID is saved for one day to ease subsequent edits.

Embedded Content from Other Sites

Who We Share Data With

If you request a password reset, your IP address is included in the email.

Your payment information is processed securely by third-party payment providers (e.g. PayPal or Stripe). We only receive order references—not your full payment details.

How Long We Retain Your Data

Comment data (including metadata) is stored indefinitely to recognise follow-up comments. Registered users’ profiles are retained until deleted. Users can view, edit, or delete their personal data at any time (except their username). Administrators have the same capabilities.
