9ct Amethyst Set Open Work Pendant

Openwork gives this pendant its whole character — a balanced, clover-like outline in polished 9ct gold, with a round amethyst claw-set at the centre and a second amethyst swinging from an articulated drop below. That little bit of movement is a nice touch, catching the light as you wear it. At 40mm it has more presence than most of our drops, so it makes a gentle statement without any weight to speak of. I'd let it lead — a fine chain and not much else, so the cut-out shape and the two purple stones can be seen properly.
