9Ct Gold Suffragette Wishbone Ring

Few rings carry their story as prettily as this one. A preloved 9ct gold wishbone in the suffragette spirit, its fresh green peridot nodding to the women who marched for the vote. You can tell it has been worn and loved across the decades before it reached my bench.

The peridot is that lovely apple-green August babies know so well, set in a cluster head that rises above the pointed wishbone band. I rather like a wishbone worn on its own, drawing an elegant line across the finger, though it stacks beautifully with a plain band or a solitaire if you fancy building it up. The hallmark shows it was crafted in Birmingham, the historic home of British jewellery, stamped 375 for 9ct gold with 'REM' the maker's mark.
